2019 TASA/TASB Convention Session Selector

Welcome to Session Selector Voting

The online poll is open until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 31. With more than 300 session proposals submitted, your input is vital in creating the 2019 Convention program.

Directions
  • Select session topics you are interested in reviewing or “View All.”
  • View submissions that are ordered by session type (i.e., presentation, workshop, panel, etc.)
  • Each session proposal includes the title, presenter name(s), and descriptor submitted.
  • Check the “Yes” box for sessions you are interested in attending.
  • Vote on as many sessions as you want and encourage others to do the same.

1. Which session topics interest you?
Session Types
  • Presentation: Formal presentation designed to inform the audience about a specific issue or topic and demonstrate key components of a particular education approach. (1 hour, 2-4 speakers)
  • Workshop: Interactive opportunity for audience members to participate directly in the learning and glean resources/approaches to take back to their district or campus. (1 hour, 1-4 speakers)
  • Panel: Moderator-led discussion with experts in the field with opportunity for audience Q&A. (1 hour, 3-6 speakers)
  • Playground: Informal session that facilitates hands-on, interactive, and creative learning technique. (1 hour, 2-4 speakers)
  • Open Discussion: Moderator-facilitated, in-depth conversation with participants serving as key contributors around a specific issue or topic concerning education. (1 hour, 1-4 speakers)
  • Sandbox Session: Bite-sized informal session that facilitates hands-on, interactive, and creative learning techniques. (30 minutes, 1 speaker)
  • Public Education Highlight: Short presentation featuring innovative programs by Texas school districts and schools. (30 minutes, 1-3 speakers)
