2022 TASB Grassroots Meetings Survey

This survey is intended to gather input about the legislative issues of greatest importance to Texas school board members. Individual school trustees and superintendents or the entire school board are encouraged to complete this survey. More weight will be given to responses approved by and submitted on behalf of the full board.

TASB Governmental Relations has developed a list of issues that may arise during the next legislative session. If your district is aware of an issue that needs legislative attention and is not included in the list below, please fill in a blank with the additional item at the end of the list of topics. You may see a brief explanation of the overall issue areas by clicking on the issue.

Select up to ten issues from the following list. You will be able to clarify any choices you make after the selection process. Trustees and superintendents will be able to determine their regional priorities during the 2022 Grassroots Meetings. This survey is designed to serve as a starting point for discussion during those meetings.

Please note that you will be selecting an issue to discuss and will decide at the meetings whether to support or oppose a certain topic. For example, selecting “Vouchers,” is not a vote to support vouchers, merely to designate that as an issue that should be discussed at your regional grassroots meeting.
